Mark is a visual communicator and writer with an education in fine art and an award-winning career in graphic design.
He has over 30 years of experience in editorial and branding design, working with a wide range of clients from indie publishers to multi-million pound advertising campaigns with Sony and Microsoft. At Future Publishing, he launched and designed a diverse range of publications – including Official PlayStation Magazine and cult videogame title EDGE [view]. He's also redesigned and written for the UK’s leading design and illustration magazine, Computer Arts [view], and branded many events including the Golden Joysticks and Brand Impact Awards. He has delivered a Guardian masterclass lecture on his award-winning digital design and written extensively for industry leading design website creativebloq. He's also had two collections of poetry published (including a pamphlet based on the life of the artist Frank Auerbach) and a volume of experimental visual poetry. He's currently creative director at the branding agency your playbook and an independent consultant in the videogame industry, specialising in art direction and branding.
